Here I am at the end of the day, updating my blog remotely, sitting on my Ikea couch by a Duraflame fire, sipping Penfold's Old Grandfather Tawny Port and listening to Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor on the DVD player (since I don't have a stereo). So what'd I do today?

Woke up late (cause Noc Noc kept me out till 4:30) and went to Target for life supplies. Came home and puttered around. Did some laundry. Watched two movies: Run Lola Run (I am in love with Franka Potente, but then who isn't?) and 13 Conversations about One Thing. Ate some Indian food, some of which was from Masala. Drank some Orange Hooch. Had some Orville Redenbacher's Smartpop Microwave Popcorn. (94% fat free!)

Not much happened today. I ate spaghetti. I played with a piece of software called Adobe Photoshop. I made little shelves for my Homies to stand on. I watched the new StrongBad E-mail. I walked to the first night of the new trios league at Leilani Lanes. I bowled a 110, 136, and 137 because I don't want my handicap to be too low. I drank many Mike's. I walked home.

According to the Death Clock, I am going to die on September 1st, 2045. I'll be 73.

It's 4:30 am. I have been awake for an hour. That totally sucks.

I'm 55% freak!!

I managed to fall asleep again for a few hours. I had a weird dream. I dreamt that a friend of mine was sleeping on my couch, and I accidentaly woke her up... a few minutes later, I "woke up" and told that friend about the dream while we delivered mail in her SUV, only to then realize I was stil dreaming, and sure enough, I "woke up" to find myself at a banquet with that friend and some others, and started to tell them about this "dream within a dream," and then I woke up for real, looking at my ceiling.

The latest comic strip at Penny Arcade has a rubber duck in it. They also had one two years ago and almost three years ago.

Spent most of the day making some CDs of photos for folks with whom I was hangin when photos were taken. Had to re-name them, crop and 'shop, and make a sort of web-thing so they could be viewed with Netscape or IE as desired.

Went and rented a few movies and a game cause I was in the neighborhood getting my cheeseburger on at Burgermaster. Blockbuster was selling Creepy Freaks starter sets for five bucks, so I bought a few. Later, walking around the mall, Wizards of the Coast was selling boosters for 4 bucks, so I got some more. Here's who I have so far:

Went to Tuesday Night Coffee at SBC, a few new faces. Very nice indeed. I tried the Crème Brulee Latté. Then the gang went over to Thai Ocean instead of the usual Mexican Fare. I shared something with duck in it with D5V. Now I am back home.

I can't remember if technically it is still Tuesday since I haven't gone to bed yet or is it technically Wednesday since its after 1:30 AM. Well, Tuesday's entry was pretty damn long so I'll say it's Wednesday.

The personality quizes on Tickle by Emode pretty much suck. But I will take a mess o' them anyway. Note the lack of links below-- Emode don't play dat, I guess. And the last question in each quiz is always a cheap attempt at allowing them to solicit you with e-mail. Ha.

When it comes to drinking I'm a Southern Sparkler. When it comes to smooching I'm a Passionate Kisser. In the humor depertment I like Banter. Although I am a Scorpio, I should be a Libra. I probably don't have ADD. I am kinda evil, sorta sexually evil, neither too much nor too little passive aggressive, and have something of a black heart. I got 11 out of 11 on the Poetry IQ test and then submitted one of my all time favorite poems for a "serious evaluation." (This has scam written all over it but who cares). It seems my room tells people I'm Modern. My theme song is Born to be Wild. The vertebrae that best describes me is the 4th lumbar vertebrae. On the sleep-smart scale, I grade a B-. My lucky number is 4. If life was a bowl of soup, I'd be a bit of carrot. My IQ is 138.

Shopped. Tutored Frogpants. Played Guillotine with Supermodel and Frogpants. Got s'more Homies. Had hot cocoa and a chat with Flygal at Dilletantes. The parking garage where I left my car closed before I got back, so I called Dancing Flower and we had a bite at Cafe Minnie's before she took me home, crashed, and she drove me the next morning to get my vehicle.

House is clean at 8:00 am. Time for a nap.

Played The Sims between working stints. Hermosa came over and we hanged. I ate an entire Romio's pizza-- the pepperoni mushroom one with Greek olives. Finally, UPS delivered Microsoft Office to me and I installed it. I was able, at last, to update the Linkography. I use a Word document to organize the hyperlinks, because I can seperate out the html code from the content and alphabatize the whole mess periodically. Take a look (click for a larger image):

I can paste the same thing into several cells of one column with one paste-action, so I don't have to type or paste <li> over and over. I can alphabatize by the Name column, and let any words like "The" or "A" float in their own columns and not screw-up the alphabetization. And alphabetizing is important, because I refer to this document when using links I've used in the past. And, if I need to for some reason, I can temporarilly sort by the Icon column, so that all of the books, movies, restaurants, and so forth are together for a quick perusal.

Now I'm drinking the Hooch, eating the Grimmway carrots dipped in Kraft Cucumber Ranch, and once I've posted this to the server I'll play s'more Sims. See y'all Friday.

Happy Birthday, Primavera. You're 32 and stunning.

Played The Sims for just a bit. Jacklife Knee is doing well. He's maxed his attributes and is working as a hacker (his old job as professional widow was very lucrative, but very stressful). He's befriended the El Chilotes, 4 sisters who just moved in across the street. He needs more friends to continue on his career path, (he's currently a Game Designer) and once he gets the top spot of Information Overlord he's going to throw a big party! Stay tuned...

I pre-ordered Doom 3. Yes, id is back. Let's see what they do to Atari's Unreal Tournament and their hold on the top FPP spot. Of course, as soon as Doom 3 sucks us in, UT2K4 will come out and that will be that. Then again, maybe I am comparing apples to oranges, in as much as Doom 3 might not be about the deathmatch and UT2K4 may have no single-player fun.

Took persons to the airport. Two to be precise: D5V and Bubblelicious. After they were inside, I discovered I had locked my keys in the car, with it running, with it sitting in the drop-off lane. Had to rent a slim jim for $7.50. Then had to park in the garage to return the slim jim-- another $2. I feel like a genius. Once home, I got a call from the Dancing Queen. He's at MIT, doing some mad 60-hour puzzle thing: The MIT Mystery Hunt. A clue led them to The Perl Cookbook (second edition) and he needed me to read a page to him. So while I was there I picked up the rest of the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels in paperback that I don't have yet: The Fifth Elephant, The Truth, The Thief of Time, and Night Watch. And it seems Tibor Fischer has a new book out, Voyage to the End of the Room, which I shall go back for soon. On the way home, I ate at McDonald's. Sue me.

Back at casa del moi I ended up cleaning out the frig and the cupboard, the fireplace, the kitchen, and so forth. Its all abou the OCT (obsessive compulsive tendencies). I'm damn tired so bye for now y'all. Except that of course I have to htmlify this sucker, and upload it, and you'll be reading it way after I post it anyhoo. What-evah.

Woke up. I do that often. Usually after being alseep, but other times as well. Drove to the airport, but there was the remnants of a huge accident on 5 which slowed me down by 30 minutes. But I finally met my Alaska-Airlines buddy, only to have the flight delayed by 4 hours. Yeeha! So we ate lunch. And played Corx. I lost for the first time, ever. Wow!

Finally we landed in SF. Her sister picked her up and I rented a car, a sporty little Alero-- I drove ghalf-way to San Jose before it was time to rive back for dinner with some co-workers. I turned around in East Palo Alto at the Ikea there, through the parking lot, which was 2 stories tall, and packed. Picked up my friend and over to Incanto for a posh dinner. I had the hanged steak, a pinot gris, a merlot, and a teroldego, after-dinner cookies, and a latté. Then I drove back home, missing the 380 exit off of 280, and taking 280 all the way back, but that's okay; I had cruise control.
