Sunday May 30th, 2004
Got up and had an omelette cooked by one dad, and then we drove down to Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras, one of those little fairsd where they sell crafty things and fair food. Got an Orange Mist (like an Orange Julius, but without the trademark) and a funnel cake. Watched a band pay for a while, PT and the Cruisers. Not too shabby! Then it was back to San Jose and the plane ride home.

Back in Seattle proper we went over to D5V's where she was giving a Thai Curry demonstration to beautiful people. We ate (also Filly's crab rangoon, which were AWE-frickin-SOME) and then drove overto issaquah to spend a spot of time with Fabu's sister and brother--in-law and nephew and cats. Andes Mint Ice-Cream. And a cuppa. And then I drove my ass back home, yo! I checked on Fabu's cat (explanation-- Fabu rescued a cay who had to have surgery, and now has no tail. Since the cat was brandy new to her, she decided it would be best if it was on its own while she was away for a day instead of around the other cats. So, he hung out in my guest room. Since Fabu had to take her sis and bro-in-law to the airport the next morning anyway, the cat just hung with me for one more night) and then I went to beddy bye bye.

Monday May 31st, 2004, Memorial Day
Hi! Memorial Day. Me and the kids went for a walk through Carkeek park. It was very very cool. I don't remember if we had bacon and eggs before or after. Before? Before. We ate before. Bacon and eggs. And then the walk, through the park. And then we watched Three Walls, a movie made in India, by Indians, for Indians. Okay, that last bit was a load of hooey. It was very good. I look forward to more movies by that Nagesh Kukunoor. We ate Fajitas for dinner... what did we have for lunch? I don't remember... did we have lunch? I need to make sure I update the blog in a timely fashion. If I could remember this stuff, I wouldn't need to keep a blog, eh?

Tuesday June 1st, 2004
My Mom's Birhtday. Happy Birthday, mom! It hasn't come to me in the mail yet, but I put together a kind of "project" for her. You'll see. Well, some of you will. Others of you, whom I do not know, probably won't.

Tuesday happens. And it happened to me. You know what I have to stop doing? Playing video games. They give me headaches, make me dizzy.

Went to SBC coffee, as usual, but not before doing a half-walk along Greenlake. And THEN coffee. One new person, who seems nice. I had tangerine juice. Tangerines have their own taste, and in juice form, it kept making me think I was drinking fermented orange juice.

After dat a few of us went over to Spud for some fried fish. I had never been to Spuds before, but had always wanted to try it. But I screwed up, and got expensive fish, not the cheap stuff, which would have been the whole point. Oh well. It was tasty. And nutritious? Does the Pope wear parachute pants?

Wednesday June 2nd, 2004
Hiya. 'Tis Wednesday. On this fine day, I worked, and was sleepy lots. Eventually it was later in the day. Seems there's some new additions to Unreal Tournament 2004 for donwload, and so I did, several times, until finally I got one that worked. And loaded it. And played it for a tiny spell before I got bored as socks. So I ate a pizza.

Later, skater, in the day, I was supposed to have some tete-a-tetes, but they kinda fell through. But that's awright. I ran around the lake with a friend on a scooter. I went back home and vacuumed. Boy did my house need it. I emptied the dishwasher, like I do, by putting everything on the counter and leaving it there. I Cometted the sink. While I was on the phone!

Someone came over we played a few card games and then she showed me pictures from her past. Such a cutie! And we had our usual argument, where I say words and language and communication are meaningless. Then she left and I watched Scary Movie 3. Now THAT stuff is funny. Oh, man. No disprespect to the Wayans brothers, who did the first two, but Zucker is just better at it. And Anna Faris? Can I have one please? Oh, I also ate a mini tub of Snoqualmie Falls Root Beer Ice Cream. Damn.

Thursday June 3rd, 2004
I have been lax like dead bees on this whole Blog thing for the past few days. Getting an early start in today. Yessir. Got two back-to-back conference calls and today is Trash day, so I did that. I'll do some laundry, put away the clean dishes, make my bed, dust. I'll update the blog as I go. Got plans tonight, and you'll hear about them. Okay. Here is a silly picture.

I am on conference call #1 right now. I am the first one on, so there's background music for me while I wait. Its some Flute Concerto, which I have heard a million times. But I also have Music Match Internet radio going, their classical station, Dvorak's Piano Concerto in G minor (Op. 63). Surreal. ALSO, I have some yoghurt here with me to eat between comments. But it's getting warm! Warm yoghurt is blecchy, unless its used in some recipe (and I'm pretty sure they don't use strawberry).

">Also on the day. Walk around yon lake and then I got grabbed for to have dinner and concert. Dinner was at Mike's Chili Parlour, Ballard, where the chili is so greasy you have to ladle the grease off the top with a spoon. I had a chilidog. Damn that was some good grub. Then it was concert time, at the Tractor Tavern. Man by the name of Jude. Mellow guitar and lyrics. Good voice. Some fun songs. Not what I would have chosen, but enjoyable, which just goes to show you: friends are a necessary component to breaking one out of one's ruts.

Friday June 6th, 2004
Foldirolldiraydoday. I got up early but I did NOT go for a walk. Bwaaa-haaa-haaa-haa-haa-aaaaaahhh...

I worked instead. Snicker. I also watched Club Dread cause it was due at blockbuster. Mildy amusing. The same guys who brought you the excellent Super Troopers somehow talked a producer into fronting an island vacation, which they made into a b-grade horror flick complete with unnecessary nudity and lots of silly blood. This is one straight from the 80s. Lousy plot, lame jokes, bad acting-- one ends up just waiting for scenes with Brittany Daniel (exquisite bone structure) and Jordan Ladd (cute freckles) in order to survive the viewing.

But it put me in a Caribbean mood? I played a silly net game called "Seven Seas," then walked around the lake, then got picked up and Went with some folkses to Paseo, a little Caribbean hole-in-the-wall. And why, asketh you me? Cause. Twas tasty. Hung with some kids drinking tea and saying outlandish things, and THAT, my friends, was a midget. I mean Friday.

Saturday June 5th, 2004
Well, let's see, what did I do on a Saturday. A lake was involved, I believe. And a restaurant? I know there was some new CD and video game action. Wasn't there? Okay, let's see, I went and picked up the new Zebrahead album, MFZB, which came out a few months ago. I also picked up a little something called the Eye Toy, and a dancing game that goes with it called Groove. A small camera shows you yourself on the screen, and you wave your hands at stationary icons in time with the music. Its pretty fun. At a few points it takes your picture and records a short video for you to review when the song is over. If you've even got the littlest of bellies, the camera captures it amazingly well. Oh, wait, now I remember the rest of the day!

Got up and went to Fremont for breakfast at Persimmon. I had the BLT. Then next door to Eyes on Fremont to help a friend pick out frames. And THEN I stopped by Target to get a big frisbee. No, seriously, it's huge. Check it out:

And the Zebrahead, and the Eye Toy. And then to the lake for a walk? NO. REI to look at shoes and inflatable Kayaks. And Then home, and then a friend's for fajitas and conversation. And then home. Whew!

Oh, and Ronald Reagan died.
