Other than selfies, which means I\u2019m asking myself to take the picture. I\u2019ve probably asked my wife to hold the camera. \u201cTake a picture of me doing something stupid!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been touched on before, how much I don\u2019t like being in pictures. Aligned with that is my displeasure in asking people to do things in general. And strangers especially! I just don\u2019t like putting people out. I\u2019ll spend 15 minutes balancing my camera precariously on a rock before I\u2019ll ask someone to squeeze the trigger a few times.<\/p>\n<p>My wife\u2019s not so shy. She\u2019ll grab any old person walking by and ask them to take our picture. And you know how people will take the picture, and kindly say, \u201cis that good? I can take another\u2026\u201d I die inside whenever my wife says, \u201cYeah, can you take it again?\u201d Aaaaah!<\/p>\n<p>But they don\u2019t seem to mind, And my wife has one of those faces that makes people smile\u2014 I\u2019m sure the walk away (eventually) thinking \u201cI did something nice today. I\u2019m a good person!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For what it\u2019s worth, I, personally, am always flattered when some strangers asks ME to take their picture.
