\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Stepped outside last night in a pair of summer shorts<\/p>\n

And a shirt with a reference to something Hawaiian on it<\/p>\n

That was a size too small in June, 300 miles ago.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had a busy summer. I\u2019ve enjoyed the weather.<\/p>\n

Say Seattle, and people think rain, but<\/p>\n

Seattle hasn\u2019t been Seattle for a while now,<\/p>\n

Like it always is from the end of July until<\/p>\n

September. There was a hint of fall on the wind,<\/p>\n

A taste of red leaves and that purple the sky gets<\/p>\n

When the days are more orange than yellow,<\/p>\n

Night time pines bathed in TV blues from windows<\/p>\n

Where football\u2019s on and so are the new sit-coms.<\/p>\n

My toes curled up inside my flip flops.<\/p>\n

A spider\u2019s web dismantled itself on the breeze,<\/p>\n

Since all the spiders are coming inside now.<\/p>\n

But we don\u2019t have enough flies. Or time, because<\/p>\n

Things are going to slow down for a bit, last for<\/p>\n
